Hardware

System requirements

Steam lists Complete Edition as a 64-bit Windows game. The minimum row is Windows 10, an Intel Core i3-8100, 8 GB of memory, a GeForce GTX 1060 with 3 GB of video memory, DirectX 11, and 70 GB of storage. macOS and Linux requirements are not listed, and those platforms are marked unsupported.

Minimum and recommended

Both columns say a 64-bit processor and operating system are required. Figures below are copied from Steam’s English US app details for app 3846830.

The minimum processor line names an Intel chip only. The recommended processor line names an AMD chip only. No alternate brand is printed on either CPU row, and no AMD graphics card is printed on either GPU row. Storage does not drop on the recommended column; both ask for 70 GB free.

What Steam says about frame rate

Steam attaches its own performance notes. They are not a benchmark run for this guide.

Minimum, additional notes: “High 1080p @ 30FPS or Medium (without SSAO and SSR) 1440p @ 30 FPS.”

Recommended, additional notes: “Medium 1080p @60, High 1080p@30.”

Those notes mention 1080p and 1440p. Separately, the product description says the interface scales at 1440p and 4K, and SEGA’s announcement lists ultrawide monitor support. The spec table itself does not state an ultrawide resolution or a 4K frame-rate target.

Broadband appears only on the recommended row. The store still tags online and LAN multiplayer, so a campaign or battle that uses those modes needs a network even though the minimum column leaves network blank.

Not listed on Steam

  • macOS: platform flag false, requirement text empty.
  • Linux: platform flag false, requirement text empty.
  • A minimum or recommended AMD graphics card, or a second CPU brand on each row.
  • Controller or gamepad support. No localized category says it.
  • Steam Deck compatibility. The app details used here do not state it.
  • Install size separate from the 70 GB “available space” line. Only that line is given.
  • A Metacritic score. The app-details payload did not include one.

The 2011 game later received macOS and Linux ports. Those ports belong to the original release, which Wikipedia dates to 31 July 2014 on Mac and 23 May 2017 on Linux. They are not listed for app 3846830. See older editions for that split.

Why the hardware floor moved

This page will not invent the 2011 minimum spec from memory. What the new listing itself shows is a 64-bit Windows 10 floor, an 8 GB memory floor, a 3 GB GTX 1060-class video card, DirectX 11, and a 70 GB disk demand. Creative Assembly describes the edition as a 64-bit upgrade with updated lighting, shadows, and textures. Those are the published reasons the 2026 package asks for more machine than a strategy game from 2011 typically did. Exact 2011 box numbers are left to the original store page rather than repeated here unverified.

Age and content ratings are not hardware, but they gate the store page. Steam’s required age is 17. The same payload includes ESRB Mature 17, PEGI 18, and CERO Z.

For what the install contains once the disk space is free, use what’s included. For how the campaigns use that machine, the campaign guide stays with documented systems rather than performance tuning.
